Our site uses an order form for customers to request products. We collect visitor's contact information (such as email address, all invoices/receipts are sent via email) and financial information (such as account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders to our customers. We do not use this information for marketing (spam) purposes. WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings does not store customer information (data) on the internet or on computer equipment for security reasons. This is the safest method available to completely prevent internet hacking and information theft. All order information is transferred to hard copy immediately. The hard copy information is retained in our secured corporate files for three years based on New York State tax laws and credit card merchant policies. We do not share data for any reason. Customers that would like to be added to our mailing list must register. We do not automatically add their email address to this mailing list. Identity of the credit card holder is based on the correct card holder billing address, computer IP address and CVV, CVV2 and Security codes found on the credit card. In the event the billing address used is not on file with the credit card company, that order will not be processed. The order is charged, then immediately voided and the order is deleted from our system to avoid any duplication. It is up to the card holder's bank as to when that credit is posted back to their account. When an alternate shipping address is used, it is our option to void the order if that name, address or phone number is not cross referenced in public records. The alternate address phone number must be the recipients's phone number and not the card holder's number. These measures are in place to protect the card holders and our company from credit card fraud. Please note, regardless of amount or location, WeDoWed.com-We Do Weddings LLC Security Department prosecutes all credit card fraud attempts and illegal chargebacks.
Customer Credit Card Chargebacks: By following our detailed Return Policy and easy access contacting our Customer Service Department by phone or email, this procedure should eliminate the need for customer credit card dispute chargebacks. Credit card purchase disputes are taken seriously at WeDoWed.com-We Do Weddings LLC. If no attempt was made by the customer to resolve credit card dispute situations with our Customer Service Department, chargebacks are considered illegal and will be prosecuted fully by our Legal Department in cases where merchandise was shipped and delivered. At that point, the customer's name will be added to an internet chargeback database and will risk having future credit card payments rejected at all internet eCommerce websites.

Due to internet security restrictions, WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings only accepts and reads email sent in text-only formats. All email received with html format or with any attached files are not read and immediately filtered and deleted. Responses will be sent in text-only format unless you have signed up to participate in WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings Insider email updates. Current virus technology has the ability to change sender email addresses. Please be assured that WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings uses the most current virus protection hardware and software available. WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings or it's staff will never send any emails with attachments. We strongly suggest that in the event you have received an email attachment from customerservice@wedowed.com or customerservice@wedowed.com , that you delete that email immediately as it was probably generated by a virus program, (spoof).
Choice/Opt-Out
Our mailing list service that customers must actually sign up for provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor. Removal from these lists is the direct responsibility of the customer who has signed up to receive mailings. We Do Weddings is not connected with services such as MakesParties or Every1.net to the point where we have any control. These are independent services found on our website. Please see your original mailings with these services for removal instructions. Also, please read the Privacy Statements of these separate companies if you decide to use their services.
Cookies and Ordering
The latest versions of AOL, Netscape, Firefox and Internet Explorer have at times caused problems with placing orders in our shopping cart system.
First, we would like to assure you that this is NOT a problem or bug with our shopping cart system. The core of the problem is that the default browser settings for the new releases are set to high security with cookies turned OFF.
Merchant shopping carts on the internet rely on cookies for the most part to track the users purchases and shopping cart activity during the shopping session only. WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings does not use cookies for any other purpose but to help you through your ordering process by keeping you connected to help you return to the cart when viewing our products. We Do Weddings does not use any type of information gathering software on our website. The problems start to occur when a user has turned their cookies off, or in the case of the new browsers, have not turned them on.
Because of the new browser releases, problems with the shopping cart have been brought to the forefront of concern of our customers. As a result, WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings has added a feature to the cart that will detect if cookies are turned on or off. If the cookies are found to be turned off, an error message is shown to the customer, warning them that they must have cookies turned on. This will make shopping at WeDoWed.com - We Do Weddings more accurate and avoid order errors. Again, cookies are sent only to help you through the ordering process and for no other reason.
